New Visitation Policy Currently in Effect

"What to Know Before You Go"

Edmond Medical Center wants to keep both our patients and our visitors healthy during this trying flu season. That is why we have changed our visitation policy until the threat of a H1N1 pandemic has passed.

Here is what you need to know before visiting a patient at EMC this flu season:

• We ask that anyone displaying flu like symptoms (high fever, cough, body aches, etc.) not visit patients and return after the symptoms have subsided.  

Children and medically compromised adults are the two populations that run the highest risk of dangerous side effects from the H1N1 flu. We ask you to help protect your children and our patients from contracting the virus by using caution when coming to Edmond Medical Center.

Currently, Oklahoma has "widespread" flu activity, according to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC).
